Fun With the Mertig Family

The Mertig family came over and we painted pumpkins and had pizza. It was such a fun time, our children play really well together. While Annie wasn't able to paint her own pumpkin, she had a blast simply playing with toys. It was awesome to watch the kids hard at work focusing on their masterpieces. Great job!!!

Good times, good friends.

Twinkle, Twinkle

I love watching TJ play and sing.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

A favorite tradition of ours is to head to Don's Pumkpin Patch, we do the Corn Maze and pick a pumpkin. We have never found all the scarecrows, this year we found four. I think that may have been a record for us. We had a lot of fun with Nana and Auntie Heather. Thanks you guys!!!

Our pumpkins from our neighbor. We cut those; Ashton's is angry, Jackson's is happy, TJ's is a kitty cat.

Church is Back in Session

Ashton started back in OLL Religious Formation classes, aka Catechism. This is his big year, he takes his first communion. This also means that we as a family head back to church. I am quite ashamed that we didn't stick with our Sunday's after classes ended. This year we will, as a family. Building a strong Christian foundation for my children is so important. You are only as strong as your foundation, and I want to build my children's foundation on solid rock, not sinking sand.
Our first Sunday back went so very well. I only hope it continues like this. The kids are allowed to bring coloring books and crayons, that's it. TJ still gets to bring his cup and a baggy of cereal. He only had to take two bathroom breaks!
