Children's Hospital

The boys all had allergy and asthma testing at our favorite Children's in Milwaukee. Ashton tests positive to mold, grass, cats and dogs. His asthma testing showed his asthma still wasn't in the best control. Jack still did not test positive, even though he has obvious allergy symptoms. His asthma is doing okay, his asthma testing wasn't that great, but he is still learning how to breathe appropriately. TJ also did not test positive to anything and his asthma testing was inconclusive. He did have immune testing the results will take a few weeks, but that will hopefully explain why he gets so sick, so often.
Jackson is allergic to lidocaine and xilocaine, so those are on the no-no list. TJ is allergic to band-aides and will continue to avoid those when possible. We found that when we use the latex free band-aides he seems to do better, I think those have less adhesive in them, which is where is allergy comes from.
We head back to Children's in Oct for rechecks for the whole family, fun times!

Ashton's Piano Recital

Ashton had his first piano recital. His teacher is Mrs. Colene Bolt, we just love her. Ashton has learned so much from her, and Jackson will join her in lessons next year.

Ashton is playing The Haunted Mouse, and Sonata in C.

Ashton's First Baseball Practice

Ashton plays for the White Sox, Ashland Minors team. So far, he has loved every minute of it!

This is what silly Jack and TJ do while Ashton has one to two hour long practices.

Playdate at the Park

Petting the 3-legged dog

TJ really loves playing with his friends Joshua and Lucas. We all went to Prentice Park, played, attempted to feed the ducks (sadly we couldn't find any ducks and the boys wanted to eat all the bagels), and then came home to play even more!!!

Enjoying a Hot Spring Day!

It was so warm out, we had to take advantage of the park. On Wednesday's our family has a routine, when Ashton is at piano lessons, the boys and I go to the Purple Park. When Ashton is done we all return to the Purple Park for even more fun!

Animal Presentations at LSP

Sitting during morning meeting. This is a part of a wonderful program called Responsive Classroom, the purpose is to teach children that how you act is as important as what you learn. Emotional and Social curriculum is as important as Academic curriculum. I think it's an amazing program, and the kids really seem to like it as well.

Ashton and two of his classmates.

Ashton's 2nd Grade class did animal presentations; they were able to chose their animals and media of presenting. While some chose to do posters, Ashton chose to do a Power Point Presentation on Frogs. It was awesome; he spoke well, took his time, added an element of creativity, and was AMAZING! I am very proud of you Ashton.
