Prayer Request Please

The surgeon called us yesterday at gave us TJ's surgical date. Monday, December 1st. We are really nervous about the whole ordeal. Thomas will have his tonsils and adenoids out. They are doing the surgery at Miller Dwan and then sending him over to St. Mary's over night. With his age and asthma they want to be able to monitor him. The specialist wanted him evaluated by the ENT, who felt that TJ has had pneumonia too many times in his short life and too many sinus infections. We are hoping this will cut down his need for prednisolone.
Jesse and I are worried about recovery time. Just this morning TJ was coughing at the table. I thought, how much is that going to hurt after his surgery. I worry about keeping him hydrated and comfortable.
Ashton had this surgery last year, he was five. He ran a low-grade 100 temperature for 11 days and was so uncomfortable. Finally on day 12 he was back to his normal self. I am hoping TJ doesn't take that long to recover. I am hoping he will bounce back even faster!!!
So, please say a prayer for TJ, and for us.
Thank you!

Roxanne: Your family, especially TJ, is in our prayers. If it is any consolation, my best friend's 4 year old just had surgery on a hernia. They were terrified and he bounced back real quick (to their surprise) and is 100% now! He'll do great! Call/email if you need ANYTHING during the process. Can I pick up Ashton after school for you??? Let me know.

Definitely in my prayers.

Our oldest (6) goes in for tubes and adnoids Dec 19. I'm already not looking forward to it. We haven't even told him, because I know he would totally forget about being happy during the Holiday and just worry about that.

I hope it helps TJ!!

Love the family picture - adorable.
